PRESS RELEASE

Open Plus Opens Software Production Centre in Oxford

Open Plus Ltd has continued its UK expansion by establishing a Software Production Centre in the city of Oxford, UK

Edinburgh, 1 June 2011

Open Plus Ltd is an independent IT consulting company specialising in open-source and Cloud technology for high growth retail. Consultancy services focus on delivering flexible, affordable and reliable IT solutions to high growth companies within the e-commerce sector.

During the past year the company has seen considerable expansion throughout its UK operations, culminating this week in the opening of their Software Production Centre in Oxford.

Oxford, as a centre for technology industries in the south-east of England, is an ideal location for the Open Plus Centre.

The Oxford office will be utilised as a hub for the consultancy’s UK development operations and will play a vital role as a node of communication between UK and overseas developers.

'The Choice for Retailers'

Since the beginning of 2011, the company's head office in Edinburgh has been expanding in both staff numbers and floor space. As the company's headquarters, the Edinburgh office now functions as the management, marketing and finance centre.

In April, Open Plus' Service Delivery centre in Harrogate, North Yorkshire also expanded in both staff numbers and premises.

According to Open Plus CEO Andrew Sykes, “the new Oxford facility will provide a bridge between our Hungarian and UK based operations. This office further cements our presence in the South East making us the choice for retailers struggling with retail technology complexity and those wishing to utilise the vast wealth of enterprise grade free and open source software.”

With this latest development, Open Plus has consolidated its recent expansion. Now with established premises in Edinburgh, Harrogate, Oxford, London and Budapest, the company is in a position to offer a world class consultancy service.
