History Is on Heal's Side

Building on an extraordinarily rich tapestry of history and tradition, Heal's continues to bring the best of contemporary design and home furnishings through a rich multi-channel experience

Heals_Home.JPGWhere do we start when discussing a retailer like Heal's? Well, at the beginning of the nineteenth century. It's not often we come across a business as old and with such pedigree as this one. Here is one of the few British businesses with serious in-store heritage and yet continuing to deliver cutting edge contemporary design.

Heal's offers a fantastic range of home furnishing products through the contemporary joys and tribulations of a full-scale multi-channel shopping enterprise.

'Lovingly Preserved'

And Heal's isn't just a retailer. This is a business that develops its own brand and sells it alongside some of the most respected household names in the world today, directly to the retail customer through six stores in England and an engaging, multi-faceted e-commerce site.

The old and the new combine excitingly through the thoroughly contemporary digital presentation of the local history gems that the lovingly preserved story of the business has to offer.

'Good Decisions'

Heals_History.JPGBeginning as a bed making business in 1810, it was in 1893, when Sir Ambrose Heal joined the firm, that things really took off apace.

What is evident is a history of good decisions that saw Heal's survive numerous wars, recessions and industrial and social changes across several generations. And the Heal's that has come out at this end is an institution prepared to step up to the plate and wear its heritage proudly.

Make no mistake: enterprise, investment and expertise have gone into presenting Heal's story. This company values its history; it has preserved it, spent money on it, expended world-class creative juices on it. We can't encourage you enough to go and look and see for yourself. Even after all our gushing we're sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by the effort and passion that accompanies the brand.

The Business

Heals_Brand.JPGHeal's now operates out of six stores in England, in London, Brighton, Yorkshire, Guildford and Kingston and through www.heals.co.uk

Brands on offer include the Heal's range of furniture, homeware, kitchenware and décor, accompanied by leading British contemporaries such as Donna Wilson, Tom Dixon, Molton Brown and Anglepoise

Internationally renowned home favourites feature also, from quality ranges like Le Creuset and Brabantia through stylish Italian names like Alessi, Calligari and the iconic Missoni.

The Site

Heals.co.uk acts as a stylish yet functional hub for all of this diversity of history and shopping, offering a catalogue which is easily navigated through categories such as Furniture, Lighting, Accessories, Garden, Gifts and Bathroom. The retailer's stock can also be broken down into numerous sub-categories for each of the above and all is browsable by brand.

When it comes to style, quality and functionality, Heal's has an enormous amount to offer. We're not the only ones to notice either: stock is regularly featured and praised in the pages of industry publications and national dailies alike.

The success story of this retailing stalwart has a lot behind it but all the signs point to a long history of success still to come.
